Club meeting- May 21st., 2008-- Meetings are held on the third Wednesday (new day of the week) of each month at the - old location the Coffee Depot. location

 

For anyone that can attend the dedication of the next section of the SART, it is taking place this Friday May 16th. If you would like to be a part of the dedication please meet Pete Staylor at Mission Burgers at 9 a.m. wearing your club jersey. We would sure like to have a good group to show support by the club. Just a reminder, weekend rides now start at 7:30 a.m starting the first weekend in May.

Weekend ride times- Changes to Saturday and Sunday ride times are as follows-

October 1, 2005 to April 30, 2006 start times at 8:00 am.

May 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006, rides will start at 7:30 am.

 

 

Lights are required on Tuesday & Thursday night rides (no lights, no helmet, no ride)

The California Department of Forestry (CDF) has begun a program which gives mountain bikers the opportunity to be a volunteer for the CDF and Fire Protection. A few Riverside Bicycle Club members have already joined. Upon joining you are given CPR and first aid training. Check out our members in action here. Get more information here.

On Tuesday, June 12th, Mayor Ron Loveridge and the City Council presented our president and the Riverside Bicycle Club a proclamation. It is a tribute to our long existence and many contributions to the community. Check it out here and Tuesday, May 6th a 2008 proclamation here..

The road division of the Riverside Bicycle Club is now termed Street Heat. This completes the branding of our two distinct yet related cycling options. As all cycling is related, a large number of RBC members enjoy both road and mountain bike riding. Whatever your pleasure, you are sure to find a friend in either the Street Heat or Team Dirty Work. We like the dirt too. Although the Riverside Bicycle Club's activities start on the pavement, we like the dirt too. Team Dirty Work, RBC's dirt division can accommodate your need to get down and dirty on a mountain bike.
